Philippe Neau

Head of Neglected Tropical Diseases

Philippe is Head of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) at Foundation S. Passionate about providing innovative therapies to vulnerable communities, he drives Foundation S’ NTD Program strategy which focuses specifically on eliminating Sleeping Sickness by 2030, a lofty challenge set by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) NTD roadmap. Through private-public partnerships and collaborative approaches, he works with WHO, research institutes and many global NGOs to develop and register new drugs and to ensure their access to neglected patient populations. 

Philippe holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Strasbourg, and degrees in Vaccinology and Global Health. He has been with Sanofi for 25 years holding positions of increasing responsibility in projects direction and clinical research, including Head of Project Management group for Global Health Programs, Head of Project Leaders Global Medical Affairs & Vaccines, Head Medical Affairs Clinical Operations in Asia‐Pacific & Japan and Deputy Director for Clinical Development at Sanofi vaccine division.
